As Christians we believe that, “The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it.” (Ps. 24:1) We are blessed to live under the providence of a just and merciful God who deals with his people generously. Jesus calls us to “freely give, for we have freely received” (Mt 10:8), for “the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, but the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully” (2 Cor. 9:6). We are called to love God and our neighbors, and to that end we offer our money, time and talents. Let us give all that we have for the glory of God. “Remember the words of the Lord Jesus: It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35)

-Make contact with individuals and families who have recently arrived in the community, discerning their spiritual, physical, emotional and financial needs.

-Convey these needs to the staff and the Immigrant Ministry leadership.

-Introduce the resources of the church and cultivate meaningful connections.

-Maintain contact with various immigrant groups acting as church liaison.

-Work as an advocate for them in the community, assisting, where possible, with difficult situations these groups might encounter.
